The Ordinary Niacinamide-Is It Really Worth the Hype?

My Honest Review of The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%.

When I first heard about The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%, it was through a wave of TikTok videos, YouTube raves, and glowing reviews from skincare addicts. People claimed it helped clear their acne, brighten their skin, and control oil, all at under $10. Naturally, I had to try it for myself.

 What It Claims:

Reduces the appearance of blemishes and congestion

Balances visible sebum (oil) activity

Brightens overall skin tone

Affordable and minimal ingredients

As the saying goes, First impression matters. So here's what got me excited!

The serum is lightweight and absorbs quickly. It has no added fragrance, which I love. The dropper bottle is simple and hygienic.

I used it in my morning and night routine, after cleansing and before moisturizing.

My Observation After 2 Weeks:

My skin looked less oily throughout the day

The small bumps on my forehead began to smooth out

A few dark spots faded noticeably

It didn’t cause any irritation or purging

What to Watch Out For:

If you’re already using other active ingredients (like Vitamin C or Retinol), be cautious and don’t layer everything at once

Might feel a little sticky if used too much or on damp skin

Not the best if your skin is very dry, it works better for oily/combination skin.

🌟 Final Verdict:

Yes my final verdict

If you’ve never tried anything from The Ordinary, this is a safe and powerful place to start. It’s very affordable, effective for acne-prone and oily skin, and easy to fit into any routine.

Would I repurchase? Absolutely.

Would I recommend to beginners? 100%, but patch test first!
